Japan-only My Melody merch — how to buy it from overseas
My Melody's Japanese range covers Sanrio-store plush, homeware, stationery and a long run of paired My Melody and Kuromi releases. Paired items are sold separately, so the two halves of a set can sell out at different times.
Of the 49 drops we have logged: 15 are on Sanrio's Direct-from-Japan store, which delivers to 6 countries only (so most readers still need a proxy); 18 are online but Japan-only, so they need a proxy; 12 are sold in Japanese shops; 4 are events or in-person only. 11 of them are arcade prizes, which are never sold at retail.

How to buy My Melody goods from overseas
- You, overseaspaste a link or use a JP address
- Proxy / forwarderbuys or receives it in Japan
- Delivered to youinternational shipping
- Check the route badge on the drop page first. A small number of items ship overseas directly; most Japan-exclusive Sanrio goods do not.
- For the rest, either paste the product link into a buy-for-me proxy (no Japanese card or account needed), or order it yourself using a forwarding address in Japan.
- Arcade prizes are never sold in shops — use an online crane game, or buy from the aftermarket on Mercari Japan through a proxy.
What it costs, roughly
Two things sit on top of the item price: the service fee and international shipping. As of September 3, 2026:
- Proxy service fee — ¥500 per order at Buyee, ¥300 per item at ZenMarket, or from 9.9% down to 1.2% with a $5 minimum at Japan Rabbit.
- Shipping by EMS — about ¥4,400 for 1 kg to Europe, Canada or Australia and ¥5,300 to the United States.
- Duties — the US $800 duty-free allowance is suspended, so US parcels are dutiable at any value. EU parcels under €150 carry a flat €3 duty from July 1, 2026. The UK threshold is £135.

Usually not — paired designs are released as separate products, so you order each one individually and one may sell out before the other.
How do I buy Japan-exclusive My Melody goods?
Through a buy-for-me proxy that orders from the Japanese Sanrio store on your behalf, or a forwarding service that gives you a Japanese address to order to yourself.
Do My Melody plush restock?
Standard line plush often do. Anniversary, collab and seasonal plush are typically single production runs, so waiting for a restock is not reliable for those.
