Japan-only Chiikawa merch — how to buy it from overseas
Chiikawa — the small, perpetually put-upon creature at the centre of Nagano's series — gets the widest merchandise line of the cast: plush of every size, Q-pot. jewellery collabs, movie tie-ins, bakery and cafe exclusives, and arcade prizes. Most of it goes on sale on the official Chiikawa Market, which now ships internationally, so a lot of it you can simply order.
Of the 367 drops we have logged: 255 can be ordered from a store that ships overseas; 81 are online but Japan-only, so they need a proxy; 12 are sold in Japanese shops; 19 are events or in-person only. 20 of them are arcade prizes, which are never sold at retail.

How to buy Chiikawa goods from overseas

- Open the item on the official Chiikawa Market store and switch
the site to English. If it keeps flipping back to Japanese, add
?currency=USDto the URL. - Add it to your cart and enter your own address. Since 15 December 2025 overseas orders are handled by Global-e and shipped by DHL, with duties and taxes calculated at checkout.
- If your country is not in the delivery list, or the item is flagged Japan-only, use a buy-for-me proxy or a Japanese forwarding address instead.
What it costs, roughly
Two things sit on top of the item price: the service fee and international shipping. As of September 3, 2026:
- Proxy service fee — ¥500 per order at Buyee, ¥300 per item at ZenMarket, or from 9.9% down to 1.2% with a $5 minimum at Japan Rabbit.
- Shipping by EMS — about ¥4,400 for 1 kg to Europe, Canada or Australia and ¥5,300 to the United States.
- Duties — the US $800 duty-free allowance is suspended, so US parcels are dutiable at any value. EU parcels under €150 carry a flat €3 duty from July 1, 2026. The UK threshold is £135.

Can I buy Chiikawa merch from outside Japan?
Yes, and for most items you don't need a proxy. The official Chiikawa Market has an English storefront and ships internationally through Global-e, with duties and taxes calculated at checkout. Items flagged Japan-only, cafe and event exclusives, and arcade prizes are the exceptions that need a proxy or the aftermarket.
Where does official Chiikawa merch actually come from?
Chiikawa Market is the official goods store, run by Gray Parka Service Co., Ltd. in Tokyo. Beyond it, drops appear on collab partners' own stores, in cafes and pop-ups, and as crane-game prizes from makers such as FuRyu and Bandai Namco Amusement.
Are Chiikawa plush limited editions?
Many are. Standard plush restock, but movie, seasonal and collab plush are usually one production run and sell out within days. Pre-orders close on Japan time, which is earlier than it looks from the US or EU.
